The Search for Espresso on Tybee is Over!

Tybee Island is full of excitement, adventure, and the occasional cup of coffee... sort of. Truth be told, there aren't a ton of espresso spots available on the island. Luckily, I managed to find three of my favorite delicious coffee spots in town! In no particular order, here are my picks:

Mi Vida

For the vegans and health lovers out there, Mi Vida is a top pick, offering high-quality, organic ingredients in their food and beverages. Their espresso is a standout, featuring a delicious Costa Rican blend with your choice of oat or almond milk. They also offer a great selection of organic pressed juices, acai bowls, and more. The owners, Frank and Maria, are incredibly kind and passionate about their business and the happiness of their customers.

Recommended Espresso Beverage: Oat milk latte

Insider Info: Mi Vida is a family-owned, zero-waste brand that is connected to Savannah's yoga community. I recently discovered that one of the owners is involved with New Yoga Now, which I learned while enjoying a very sweaty session there, haha!

Tybean Art and Coffee Bar

For folks on Tybee's North End, step into a world where coffee and breakfast burritos collide! This espresso hotspot not only serves up a mean cup of joe but also bakes fresh and hot breakfast burritos every morning. The friendly atmosphere and cozy ambience makes this place an enjoyable spot to visit. Tybean can be prone to crowds during the summer, so be sure to arrive early if you want to avoid long lines.

Recommended Espresso Beverage: Any frappe! My favorite is caramel.

Insider Info: An adorable cat named Bean hangs out at the shop in his carefully crafted cat house. He is very popular among the locals and tourists, but maintains his introverted tendencies.

Special Addition: Seaweeds Snowballs and Ice Cream

For those with a sweet tooth, Seaweeds is the perfect spot, offering coffee, ice cream, snow cones, and more! My boyfriend and I are regulars, and for good reason. Just the other day, I was strolling around with a banana split in one hand and a caramel macchiato in the other (for business purposes, obviously) when a lady in a nearby pool couldn’t resist asking, "Excuse me, ma'am, where did you get that, and are they still open?!" I pointed her to Seaweeds and let her know she still had a couple of hours before closing. Her excitement was priceless—she jumped out of her chair, called her kids out of the pool, and literally started running toward the shop. No joke. It was hilarious; I totally get it—I was thoroughly enjoying my treats too!

Must-Try Espresso Beverage: Caramel Macchiato

Insider Info: Seaweeds also bakes fresh, homemade cookies every day! My top pick is the peanut butter cookie, but the blueberry lemon flavor is also a delight.

So, there you have it! The search for delicious coffee on the small, yet fabulous, Tybee Island is over. Whether you're a vegan health enthusiast, a breakfast burrito lover, or simply looking for a sweet treat, there's something for everyone.

Until next time,
